First Tractor Opinons Please

After much research and price shopping (much here), I am pretty sure what to get. I will probably get a L3130 HST with R4 tires. The accessories will be a bush hog 6' box blade and a Bush hog SQ600. I may get a tiller and a back hoe at a later time. I will probably purchase in the next week or two.

Since I do not have much to cut now (approx 1 to 3 acres), I think the 3130 will be big enough. I would like to get the 3830 but can not justify the $2000 price difference. This could be applied to other attachments later. Also if I need a larger tractor later, I am sure the 3130 will have a good return if sold used or traded for a larger tractor.

Thanks to all the people providing info here. I would still like any comments you may have.

I now have about 10 hours on my 3130. It has only used about 3 gallons of diesel, is very quiet, and very powerful. I have dug about 1oo tree holes with the 24" auger, bushhogged a couple of acres, and moved several 10' long 2-3' feet in diameter logs with a chain. My property is not level but the 3130 goes everywhere and I have even pulled a truck out of a ditch with it.

This is my first real tractor - but so far it is fun and excellent. I thought about the 3830 but did not need the extra power. And those little Grand L user friendly features mean I still have the power to dippy-do with my lady. And I am hitting the double-nickel in a month.

My only concern: I am a newbie with real tractors - if you are, make very good friends with your dealer and his employees - they can make a serious difference particularly with all my stupid questions. ....
